The Green Side of Thassos: Hiking Trails for Every Soul
Most people come to Thassos for the blue, but they stay for the green. Thassos is one of the lushest islands in Greece, and from your base at Calma Living, you have access to a network of trails that wind through ancient olive groves and pine forests.
One of our favorite routes leads from the coast up to the traditional village of Potamia. As you climb, the air becomes cooler and scented with wild oregano and thyme. For the serious adventurers, the trek to the summit of Mount Ipsarion (1,204m) offers a panoramic view of the entire Aegean Sea—on clear days, you can even see Mount Athos in the distance. After a day of exploring the island’s rugged spine, there is nothing better than returning to the minimalist comfort of Calma Living for a well-deserved rest.

Located in Potos in the Thassos region, Calma Living has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, terrace and free WiFi. It is 800 metres from Potos Beach and 1.5 km from Alexandra Beach.
